Emily Lovdahl

Emily has been a lifelong mover and is passionate about helping others connect to their bodies to enjoy joyful, healthy, and freeing movement in a safe environment. During her career as a full-time professional ballet dancer which spanned the past eight years, she discovered Pilates was the most effective method of lessening her scoliosis pain because of its focus on developing strength, control, awareness, and alignment throughout the body.
She was fortunate to find fantastic instructors in each city she moved to while dancing, and working with them one-on-one gave her a calm and centering self-care practice that she looked forward to every week. She was inspired by these knowledgeable, dedicated, and caring women to become an instructor herself. Emily has completed both the STOTT Pilates Intensive Matwork course, and the Intensive Reformer course. She is looking forward to continuing her education and pursuing her full equipment certification through STOTT Pilates.

You can expect a challenging and well-balanced class based in contemporary Pilates that leaves you feeling strong and connected with your body. When not teaching or working out herself, Emily loves to travel, be outdoors, design and sew clothes, create stained glass pieces, and spend time with her partner, family, and friends.
